Mustang High School is pleased to announce that Juniors and Seniors can enroll in Internship Programs for the fall of the 25 - 26 school year. Students must be an incoming junior or senior. Click below to learn more about:
Educational Internships (You want to be a teacher in the future)
Unpaid Professional Internships (Example: You want to be a veterinarian so you would intern in a veterinarian's office).
Employment Essentials (You have a job that pays you)
Please fill out an application to be considered for the program. Click on the Internship Application Form, if you are interested!
Students must have parental permission to enroll in an internship. Parents will need to complete the Parent Permission Form.
Students will need 3 recommendations from current/past high school teachers. Copy and paste the Teacher Recommendation Form to send to teachers of your choice. In an email, please introduce yourself to your teacher, explain what you need, and ask them to click on the link to submit a recommendation on your behalf to Mrs. Robinson.
Internship Purpose
Internships are work-based learning experiences for high school students during their junior and senior year. The mission of the program is to give highly motivated students that show a pattern of responsibility, maturity, and high work ethic, the ability to learn real world skills and gain exposure in a profession they are interested in pursuing after graduation.
Credit Information
Educational Internship: .5 credit per hour/class each semester - can be up to 1 full credit per semester
Unpaid Professional Internship: .5 credit per hour/class each semester - can be up to 1 full credit per semester
Employment Essentials: .5 credit per hour/class each semester - can be up to 1 full credit per semester
Travel Hour = No credit
Other Information
Students enrolling in an internship program may only enroll in one program per semester.
For example, a student cannot simultaneously enroll in an Educational Internship and a Professional Internship.
Students must have their own transportation to be considered for the program. Students are required to be off campus during their internship class(es).
All students: If you are failing the internship program at the end of 1st semester, you will be removed from the program and enrolled in a class(es) on campus for 2nd semester.
Juniors: Students who fail 1st semester will be removed from the program and put in a class on campus.
Students who fail any semester, will not be allowed to enroll in the program for their senior year.
