Professional Internship (unpaid)

Many students are exploring what professional field they may want to join in the future. Professional Internships are offered in our community. Come get the experience and see what it is all about! We have had students intern at veterinary clinics, real estate brokerages, dental and orthodontic offices, and physical therapy offices. 

Students are responsible for obtaining their internship. If you have an idea about where you would like to intern, you should contact your preferred business to see if they have room for a student intern. 

Students must have their own transportation to be considered for this class. 

Business or Organization Requirements:

1.          Interns are at the business site 1 hour per day for 5 days per week.  70 hours total per semester.   

     Students will receive .5 credit/unit per semester.

2.          Supervision by a working professional employed by the same organization.

3.          Provide a work skills learning plan. 

4.          Provide feedback to the school staff regarding performance and attendance.

5.          Employers are not expected to pay wages.
