This course begins with learning learn the keys, but moves through learning how to format documents properly. Students will learn proper technique, develop keyboarding skill and accuracy, and become more productive by saving time by developing this important life skill.

The focus continue with business professionalism including email etiquette, resumes, cover letters, and more using Microsoft Word. Today everyone uses a computer and whether you are typing for school or on the job. Learn to be productive and efficient in your work with good keyboarding skills.

In Microsoft Office, students learn the essentials of word processing using Word, presentations using PowerPoint, spreadsheets using Excel, email in Outlook, and database management using Access. These software tools are must have know-how for tons of future jobs!

Earn your Microsoft Certification, and be part of the solution. In high-growth industries, entry-level employees who hold a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification can earn up to $16,000 more, annually, than their peers. This class will prepare you to pass both the Excel and Access Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams, demonstrating that you have the technical proficiency to be college and career ready!

You choose the tech-related learning pathway that interests you! Programming, game development, computer networking, or Adobe graphic design tools are just a few options. There are an endless number of pathways to choose from so you can enroll in the Tech Center over and over again.

You will also learn how to provide tech assistance to other students in the school and repair Chromebooks while serving as a Help Desk Associate. CLEP exams are also a possibility.

You will learn how computers are constructed, how to securely connect them to a network, how to install and configure software, how to troubleshoot errors, and how to solve security threats. In addition, this course can also help prepare you for the CompTIA A+ certification exam.
