Current Unit - Transformations

Students will learn how to:

• Identify & describe transformations - translations (slide), reflection (flip), rotation (turn), and dilation

• Describe congruent sequences (more than one transformation)

• Identify similar and congruent figures

• Describe the effect transformations have on coordinates (STANDARD OF FOCUS)

• Describe similar sequences (more than one transformation that includes a dilation)

iReady Expectations

• Students are expected to complete pathway iReady lessons on a weekly basis. Lessons are due each Sunday by 10:00pm. The expectation is:

  • 2 lessons passed per week if 7th grade or higher on iReady diagnostic

  • 3 lessons passed per week if 6th grade or below on iReady diagnostic

• Students are expected to bring the following items to class each day:

  • chromebook

  • pencils

  • folder
