SOF 1
I can solve linear equations with rational number coefficients, which may include using the distributive property and combining like terms.
SOF 2
I can describe the effect of dilations, translations, rotations, and reflections on two-dimensional figures using coordinates.
SOF 3
I can compare two different proportional relationships represented in different ways (tables, graphs, equations, verbal descriptions).
SOF 4
I can write a function rule to model a linear relationship between two quantities by determining the rate of change ad initial value of a function.
SOF 5
I can compare the properties of two functions represented in different ways (tables, graphs, equations, verbal descriptions).
Please continue to check your student's online SOF tracker!
Students will learn how to:
Identify & describe transformations - translations (slide), reflection (flip), rotation (turn), and dilation
Describe congruent sequences (more than one transformation)
Identify similar and congruent figures
Describe the effect transformations have on coordinates (STANDARD OF FOCUS)
Describe similar sequences (more than one transformation that includes a dilation)
Mid-Unit Standards Mastery - Friday, November 14
Post Standards Mastery (summative) - Friday, November 21
Transformations Unit Test (summative) - Tuesday, November 25
iReady Expectations
Students are expected to complete pathway iReady lessons on a weekly basis. Lessons are due each Sunday by 10:00pm. The expectation is:
2 lessons passed per week if 7th grade or higher on iReady diagnostic
3 lessons passed per week if 6th grade or below on iReady diagnostic
Supplies
Students are expected to bring the following items to class each day:
musky folder
assignment notebook
chromebook
pencils
folder
notebook
calculator --> TI-30X II S is recommended
