Recommend obtaining a signed parent permission before using with students - in particular if you opt to use it with students under 13 years of age (not recommended, but many teachers will still do it.)
Need space - recommend 8’ x 8’ per student - put colored painter’s tape in the corners (show images)
Need to be sure to keep the right controllers with the right headset - I number my set
Rechargeable batteries in the headset last about 2 hours, have extra AA batteries for the handsets
Demonstrate the apps you want them to be using before students put on the headsets - might be best with one student wearing the headset and the teacher directing
If using partners - the student not wearing the headset is the safety partner, making sure they don’t run into anything or get hurt
Teach them how to put them on and take them off properly - especially with the Elite head strap - loosen it before taking it off
Always use the hand straps on the controllers
Wipe down between student use and before returning
Label guardian space with painter's tape
Provide a chair and cast to a tablet to provide 1:1 support
Need space - a large lab works
Have wipes for cleaning between users and when they are returned
Silicon cover face pad cover make cleaning easier (come in different color)
The Elite Head strap installed means the headset & controllers will no longer fit in the box - get a case such as this one
The Oculus Quest 2 Elite Head Straps break (poor design). Have extras, purchase extended warranty, or purchase a different head strap from 3rd party
