Goeldi Museum
Ph.D. candidate in Biodiversity and Evolution
My current research is based on phylogenomics and biogeography to investigate the evolutionary patterns of armored catfishes from the rivers of the Brazilian Shield.
2018 - 2020
Federal University of Pará / Goeldi Museum
Master of Zoology
In my master's, I investigated the evolutionary events that promoted the dispersion of freshwater stingrays through molecular analysis. Also in this period, I have worked with DNA barcoding of estuarine fish species from the Caeté River estuary (Pará state, Brazil).
2011 - 2017
Federal University of Pará
Bachelor in Science
Since my first day of undergraduate studies, I have been working with molecular biology. During this period, I worked on DNA barcoding of butterflies and fish species under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Ready.
Since 03/2025
Vale Institute of Technology, Belém, Brazil
Genomics of the Brazilian Biodiversity (GBB)
Technical Assistant, working on the management of subprojects.
2022-2023
Fieldwork
During this period, I participated in and organised several field campaigns to rapids in different Brazilian river basins (Tocantins, Araguaia, Xingu, Tapajós, and Trombetas).

Fish collection curation
I am assisting in curating fish specimens in the Goeldi Museum's collection. Through my work, I have developed strong technical skills in specimen preparation, data management, and the use of Specify software.
