What is WorkAbilityI?
WorkAbility was initiated in November, 1981 as a pilot project to test the impact of work experience for youth. Today, WorkAbility serves over 120,000 youth in fifty eight counties in California through 305 local education agencies. WorkAbility is a nationally recognized program that provides comprehensive pre-employment training, employment placement (paid and non-paid work) and follow-ups. Its purpose is to provide students transition services and the opportunity to obtain marketable job skills while completing their education. Students benefit from this experiences, and ongoing job-related support and guidance from the WAI staff.
