 🎇 Chemical Interactions🎇

Chemical interactions will be our first FOSS Unit throughout which students will be looking at: how does matter interact? To answer their driving question students will complete ten investigations looking at substances, elements, particles, kinetic energy, energy transfer, solutions, phase changes, reactions, and limiting factors. Students will use their knowledge and understanding of energy transfer to build a container that keeps hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold (Thermos Engineering). 

 🌋 Earth History 🌋 

Earth History will be our second FOSS Unit throughout which students will be looking at: how do we tell the geologic story of a place?  Students will complete nine investigations studying the Grand Canyon, weathering & erosion, deposition, fossils, past environments, igneous rocks, volcanoes & earthquakes, mountains & metamorphic rocks, geoscenarios, and what is Earth's story.
