Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment in Massachusetts allows high school students to take college courses while still in high school. Through partnerships between high schools and participating colleges, students can earn both high school and college credit at the same time. The program gives students a chance to experience college-level work, explore academic interests, and get a head start on their college education. Typically, Dual Enrollment students take their classes full-time on the college campus rather than attending high school each day. Nipmuc students often attend Quinsigamond Community College for Dual Enrollment, but other options are available.
Early College
Early College opportunities at Nipmuc give high school students the chance to take individual college courses as part of their high school schedule or in addition to their high school classes. These courses may be offered online or in person and allow students to earn both high school and college credit. Early College experiences help students gain confidence, explore academic interests, and become familiar with college-level expectations.
BVExcel
The BVExcel program brings together resources from the Blackstone Valley School Districts to provide unique, non-traditional courses that expose students to different career options, help them build industry skills, and create workforce opportunities that would be difficult for a single school to offer on its own. Each BVExcel course is credit-bearing, appears on the student’s transcript, and includes a grade, giving students meaningful academic recognition while exploring potential career paths. Courses take place during the afternoons and evenings, outside of regular school hours.
