The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) provides Scrible Edu Pro, a comprehensive research, writing and close reading platform, to all Utah K-12 public and charter schools via a statewide contract. See here to learn more: https://www.scrible.com/utah
With Scrible, teachers can use the Scrible extension to add web articles to their Scrible library and push articles to students for further research, annotation, translation, etc.
How can I access Scrible?
Teachers need to add Scrible as a Chrome Extension. We recommend that teachers become familiar with the platform prior to having students open their Scrible extension. The Scrible extension is installed on Seconary Chromebooks. (Elementary: If interested, email gsmith@murrayschools.org and rostering can occur in Clever.)
Open the Chrome Web Store.
Find and select the extension you want: Scrible
Click 'Add to Chrome.'
Some extensions will let you know if they need certain permissions or data. To approve, click Add extension.
Log in using your MCSD email credentials
Follow the setup instructions for Scrible
Open Extension and login using MCSD Google Authentication. Upon doing so, an email will be sent to your MCSD GMail. From thie email, once you verify account, you'll be able to log in to Scrible.
