Each year, roughly 20 local organizations partner with the NMHS Counseling Office to award scholarships to our seniors. Instead of completing separate applications for each one, students can fill out the Local Scholarship Application once to be considered for all of these opportunities. This single application makes the process easier and increases access to locally-sourced funding.
This application is typically opens in January and closes towards the middle of February.
Additional scholarship opportunities will be sent out to the Senior Google Classroom as we are made aware of them.
The CSS Profile, short for "College Scholarship Service Profile," is an online application used by many colleges and universities across the nation to determine a student's eligibility for non-federal financial aid, such as institutional scholarships, grants, and need-based aid. College Board administers the CSS Profile.
It is recommended that students begin their CSS application on October 1st of their senior year. Deadlines will vary by college.
