How many students may be on a team?
Students can compete individually or as a team of two. These rules are consistent with the State Technology competition rules.
What if team members are in different age groupings?
If the grade levels of team members fall into two different age groupings, the team must compete in the age grouping of the older student. These rules are consistent with the State Technology competition rules.
When is the District competition?
Students can begin work on their contest submissions at any time. The deadline to submit is December 5th, 2025.
What are the submission guidelines?
Students will submit a video showcasing their work, and provide step-by-step instruction on the technology used to create their project. If two students worked on the project, both students will need to be featured in the video. Project submission videos should not exceed 15 minutes in length.
How do projects advance to compete in the Region Technology Competition?
All 1st place winners will be entered into the Piedmont Regional Competition. Students will submit the same projects they used at the District competition and will have the opportunity to make any necessary changes to their work before submitting. When is the Region Competition?
The deadline to submit for the Piedmont Regional Technology Competition is January 23rd, 2026.
Who registers students for the district Technology competition?
The student's teacher or media specialist will officially register the student by submitting their work through the Murray Technology Competition Submission form.
