From the 10th to the 15th of December, 2024
On the first day of our Erasmus+ 🇪🇺adventure, we arrived in Amsterdam with our pupils from 3º ESO. All of us were very excited about working with our partners from RSG- Enkhuizen, La Sablière College and Le Paraclet.
RESPECT 4 DIVERSITY 🇪🇺
After a wonderful breakfast, our students arrived at RSG-Enkhuizen full of beans to face the tasks for the day. First of all, meeting the Dutch and French students through entertaining icebreakers. Then, learning some useful expressions in Dutch and working on our first topic: Respect for Sexual Orientation.
"Sexual orientation is about who you're attracted to and want to have relationships with".
Finally, a film screening👀 with popcorn 🍿included and some activities to reflect on what we learned before ending the day with pizza 🍕for dinner.
The day began with a gymkhana around the city and a theater workshop aimed at letting students work on respect, self-esteem and empathy.
"Empathy is the ability to recognize, understand and share the thoughts and feelings of another person".
During the afternoon, pupils participated in several wokshops intended to work on our second topic: Respect for the Elderly, Tradition and Culture.
Our young participants had the opportunity to meet and interview some Dutch pupils's grandparents and treat some aspects such us loneliness and intergenerational differences.
White day with a lot of fun❄️⛸️!
Students enjoyed together an ice skating session which took place on an artificial skating rink due to climate change.
This fact broght out a reflection about another important topic: Respect for the environment and how to contribute to its improvement.
After that, we visited Hoorn and a museum which dates back to the twentieth century. This experience made some students blend in with the hippie era ☮️.
It was a day full of excitement which couldn't end without a traditional dinner at the Dutch families's homes. We'll be eternally grateful to the Dutch parents for all the love and wonderful food! 🇳🇱💙🇪🇦
Students worked and completed our final goal: designing a poster: it should visually describe all the kwnoledge acquired during the week.
After a morning of hard work, the posters were presented in front of the Headmaster and the Education Councilor.
Such display of creativity was rewarded with a well-earned certificate which was given to every pupil in recognition of their participation in the project.
