BRAND IDENTITY
PACKAGING
iormesa is an independent studio known for crafting staple kitchen and dining objects, rooted in age-old methods and organic, minimalist aesthetics. They approached the studio to unify their identity, packaging, and product presentation capturing their philosophy for a wider design-conscious audience.
Brand identity, packaging, and visual storytelling for a maker of artisanal kitchen and dining wares.
THE CHALLENGE
iormesa needed a cohesive brand system and product packaging that honored their handmade ethos while elevating the everyday experience of their wares.
The revitalized identity boosted perception of iormesa as a thoughtful, design-forward studio fostering engagement in retail and digital channels.
THE APPROACH
Discovery
We immersed ourselves in the tactile qualities of iormesa’s products, extracting storylines from textures, forms, and the quiet rituals of daily use.
Strategy
The strategy focused on simplicity and warmth emphasizing the poetic beauty in utility and subtly weaving story into every touchpoint.
Design
I crafted an identity system with muted, earthy colors and a modern sans-serif logotype, reflecting the blend of artisanal tradition and modern living. Packaging and collateral were prototyped with textured backgrounds and delicate graphical details inspired by the vessels themselves.
Refinement
Through rounds of feedback, I fine-tuned the logo, product cards, and box designs, ensuring harmony between digital and physical touchpoints.
THE SOLUTION
A cohesive visual identity and packaging system was created to highlight handcrafted quality and organic aesthetics. The palette features lively accent colors terracotta red, teal blue, and golden yellow paired with refined typography and tactile textures. This combination echoes both the warmth of tradition and a modern, approachable personality, reinforcing iormesa’s authenticity and appeal among design-conscious customers.
iormesa’s identity demonstrates how mindful brand systems distill heritage and simplicity into every detail from the tactile feel of the mug to the thoughtful reveal in the package. I believe that design is most powerful where it bridges tradition and modernity.
