AP Art

AP Art is for the most serious and dedicated art students.  This class is the equivalent of taking a college level course.  Throughout the school year, the students will make a body of work centered around artistically exploring a specific topic (or Sustained Investigation).  This process is student driven, as they are the ones that will have to decide the concept behind their Sustained Investigation and what artistic media they will use to create their art.

At the end of the year, students will digitally submit their completed portfolio to the College Board.  AP Readers will review the students portfolio and will evaluate it on a 6 point scale.  Any student that receives a score of 4 or above will automatically earn 3 college credits at participating Community and State Colleges.

Below is the Syllabus for AP Studio Art.  Please look this over to have a better understanding of the requirements of the class.  We will also go over this syllabus in class during the first week of school.
