Hello and welcome to my classroom site! My name is Katherine Forbes and I am the Director of Online Education at Mingus Union High School. This is my 6th year at Mingus and my 12th year in education. Prior to working at Mingus, I was in Phoenix for a year and taught at Cottonwood Middle School before that. Education has always been important to me and I hope that I can instill that importance to the young men and women I work with!

My life story originates in New Mexico, where I was born and raised. In 2006, I graduated high school and moved to Phoenix. For two years, I worked and completed school at Paradise Valley Community College. Upon completion of my Associate's Degrees at PVCC, I enrolled at NAU and moved to Cottonwood. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in 2010 and began my teaching career.

In 2019, my son was born. I love spending time with him every moment I can. I want him to see the value of a teacher's hard work and hope that as he grows older, he appreciates education as much as I do!
