This year Muenster High School has three foreign exchange students, each from different places. Sam is one of them. Sam is from Spain. He has attended MISD once in the past for his sophomore year, and has returned this year to finish out his senior year. Schools in Spain and schools here in the U.S. have some similarities, but they also have many differences. Something Sam said he likes about American schools is the fact that “they include a lot of things in the program Spanish schools don’t, like sports.” Sam said that his education from Spanish schools versus American schools doesn’t really vary, but the experiences do. He likes that there is always something to do here. However, he does love Spain, and there are things he misses about home. When asked what he misses most about home, Sam said “I miss my family most out of everything because they are really important to me.” Sam enjoys America, not just the school and education, but the experiences as well, and while he enjoys everything here, he also misses his home and his family. On May 16th, Sam will walk the stage with the rest of MISD’s seniors.

The class of 2025 is filled with a whole bunch of smart teens, especially valedictorian Emma W. and salutatorian Ben C., who have both worked very hard to earn their titles.
