In our SDG class (Sustainable development Goals), we incorporate regularly sozial projects. One off our most engaging program is the Family Support Project, which is dedicated to assisting our region's needy families. We initiated this endeavor by conducting a comprehensive survey to better understand the specific challenges these families face and distribute those materials that are most needed. Our school is located in Mae Sot, an area with many refugees and disadvantaged families. We collaborate closely with our international partner school HPC, International School and Community school from Heidelberg to help those families.
Together with the HPC students, we engaged in a meaningful collaboration to share our survey results and discuss how to help best. Our efforts included organizing and distributing food packages, medicine, water filters, solar lights, and other essential materials to those in need.
The Mudita high school students, and students from our partner school HPC, actively participated in deciding the types of support required for the families. The collaboration extended to collecting donations, with German students undertaking fundraising activities such as selling products at the school's Christmas market. The Myanmar Club, an integral part of HPC's curriculum, coordinated the collection of donations and sent them to us. We are immensely grateful for the generosity of these students and the international collaboration that allows us to extend our support to those in need. This collaborative effort not only aids families but also fosters a global perspective among all students involved.
In reflecting on our past efforts, in 2023, we successfully supported the regional families through the Family Support Project. Many family members regularly come to our school to receive further support. Now, in 2024, our ambition has grown, and our goal is to extend assistance to 10 or more families in our region. Beyond providing immediate relief, we plan to offer vocational training, including computer basics, sewing, and carpentry classes.
We hope that through material donations such as sewing machines or carpenter tools the families can build there own workshops. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower families for a sustainable and brighter future. We're excited to include more of our partner schools in our activities, making our support go even further and turning it into a project that lasts for a long time.

Thank You Video
Let's start our new Family Support Program 2024.
Thank you HPC students. We are looking forwards to an great collaboration with you an other Partner Schools.
In the year 2023, we embarked on a joint baking class where our students, alongside those from our partner schools, crafted German bread and cookies. This collaborative effort not only enriched our culinary repertoire but also deepened the bonds between the students.
Looking ahead to 2024, we are thrilled to announce a unique culinary exchange. Students from Mudita School will be recreating German recipes from our Heidelberg-based HPC partner school, while our partner school students will immerse themselves in the flavors of Burmese cuisine, including iconic dishes like Mohinga, a traditional Burmese breakfast. We plan to connect our classes via Zoom while cooking in both countries, giving each other cooking tips and guidance. These culinary exchanges serve as a bridge between cultures, allowing us to appreciate and celebrate the diversity of our global community.
Beyond the delicious outcomes, these programs have proven to be more than just cooking classes. They have become a means for us to feel a closer connection, transcending the physical distance that separates us. As we share recipes and savor the unique tastes of each other's cultures, our friendships grow and are enriched, making the world a smaller and more interconnected place.

Discovering Nature's Wonders: Mudita School Students' Unforgettable Biodiversity Expedition
Hey there! We, the students from Mudita School, embarked on an incredible journey to unravel the secrets of biodiversity in our hometown Mae Sot. Picture this – we explored two different worlds, one bursting with life and the other struggling due to human actions.
In the first spot, we were surrounded by lush forests, vibrant birds, and aquatic life in the biggest lake in Mae Sot. It was like stepping into a nature haven. The shock hit hard when we reached the second area – a victim of deforestation and human interference. The once-thriving ecosystem was now silent, and it hit us: we humans had a hand in this.
We saw trees chopped down, chemicals destroying the forest, and areas flooded for a reservoir. It was heartbreaking, realizing the impact of our actions on the environment.
To process it all, we were asked to sit quietly and draw the beauty we witnessed. It became a form of meditation, capturing the essence of the thriving nature around us. Later, we gathered to discuss our drawings and brainstorm solutions to nurture biodiversity.
Fueled by this experience, we brought the change back to our school. We're now on a mission to create our own haven – flower gardens, insect homes, and an eco-farm to care for nature. It's not just a school project; it's our commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
Join us on this student-led journey towards a greener, more biodiverse world. Together, we're planting the seeds of change and growing a future where nature thrives alongside us.
Coming up nicely
