Parents of elementary children (PreK-4), take only the packet(s) you need for your child(ren).
Parents of secondary children (5-12), do not take a packet if your child has Internet access to online learning.
Do not take multiple copies of packets.
Children must remain in vehicles at all times.
During Tuesday distribution, please remain in your vehicle. Return bins will be located on the driver's side and MVISD staff will deliver new packets to the vehicle.
If the pick-up area becomes crowded or congested, please be patient and wait, or circle around. Practice social distancing.
If a grade level runs out of packets, additional copies will be made and the bin will be replenished later in the afternoon or the next morning.

1. All district staff working packet distribution are confirmed to be symptom-free of any health issues or illness prior to working distribution location.
2. District staff will wear gloves and facial covering during packet distribution and maintain 6 feet of social distance.
3. Parents will remain in the vehicle and place completed student packets in appropriate grade level return bins located on the driver's side of the vehicle. District staff will not directly touch return packets. See packet return process below.
4. Parents will communicate grade level packets needed and district staff will hand new packets through the passenger window or at a safe distance.
1. District staff will wear gloves when handling returned work bins.
2. Return bins are wiped down with disinfecting solution prior to entry into the building.
3. Bins are logged on the collection sheet with the date and time that they are brought into the building and staff names recorded that handle returned bins.
4. Bins aged for exactly 30 hours before any staff begins working with paper packets. This time period is based on the TEA guidance document for school districts that indicates COVID 19 can live up to 24 hours on cardboard and paper surfaces.
5. Time and date that bins are opened are logged on the collection sheet.
6. All staff disassembling packets for grading will wear gloves as an additional precautionary measure to MVISD employees.
