The MVR5 Band Boosters are made up of any parent/guardian of a current student in the Mt. Vernon High School Band. MVR5 Band Boosters example responsibilities include:
Attend Band Booster meetings throughout the year to help make decisions to improve students experience in the band program including overall logistics, monetary decisions/purchases, and more.
Assist at marching band festivals- serve food, transport props/percussion, pull trailers, etc.
Assist at our home marching festival- MOST HELP NEEDED on this day. Our festival is always the last Saturday in September. Various responsbilities for various time periods are needed.
Apple Butter Makin' Days booth- help set up, make fried pickles, run the cash register, etc.
Band Banquet- serve food, set up venue, etc.
Football games- help serve food during the 3rd quarter, sell fried oreos at our booth.
Help raise money to support the band program.
Other miscellaneous responsibilities throughout the year.
There are elected officer positions within this organization that have more involved roles. Each term is served for 2 years. Please see the "MVR5 Band Booster Bylaws" at the top of this page for specific officer descriptions. The positions are:

The best way to help is to attend Band Booster meetings. Additionally, the Band App will be used for event signups and other important information, so it is necessary to ensure that parents/gaurdians (and students) are signed up on the Band App. Navigate to the "Band App" tab on this website to locate instructions on how to sign up on the Band App.
