Alex Weinzierl - Director of Bands

Alex Weinzierl currently serves as the Director of Bands in the Mount Vernon R-V School District in Mount Vernon, MO, where he directs the concert band, "Marching Mountaineers", teaches middle school courses, and oversees the entire band program. Mr. Weinzierl graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Certificates in Jazz Studies and Multicultural Studies in 2023.

Before Mr. Weinzierl’s appointment as Director of Bands at Mt. Vernon High School in the fall of 2023, he student taught in the Platte County School District in the spring of 2023 under the mentorship of Dr. Matthew Bonsignore. Alex holds professional affiliations with the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA). Alex currently resides in Springfield, Missouri with his wife, Emily.
