The Waterski and Wakeboard Club is always very grateful for donations and help from the community. These items are things the club can always use to help create a safer, simpler, more accessible experience for beginners and season riders. Some items are far from our current scope and would help launch our club into all 3 competition events. Our address is MTU Waterski, 1400 Townsend Dr. Houghton MI 49931, MUB 106

We are currently looking for a place to place a boat lift to easily launch our boat for practices. Making our events and practices spaces home while representing Michigan Tech we are hoping to get a club banner, club tent.
Below are just a few of the ways that your contribution can make an impact on the lives of Michigan Tech students and their use of the outdoors.
Enclosed Equipment Trailer-
A huge part of our sport is having the proper equipment to learn and practice with especially for safety. With this equipment comes the need for storage. We are in need of a trailer to store our equipment in when it is not being used and during the off season. Having an enclosed trailer allows us to transport and secure all of our equipment very easily to competitions and wherever we may be skiing for the day.
Travel or Practice Gas-
Being the northern most team in the NCWSA, traveling will get very expensive. therefore, we would be greatly appreciative of any amount donated to help make travel and practice costs down so we will not have to individually fund the trips and practices. The more money we have set aside for travel and gas greatly brings down the cost of dues for members, making our club more accessible to students. As we grow as a team, we hope to hold as many practices as possible. We will have 5 certified drivers to help achieve this. Furthermore, practice gas will become a large expense over the season.
Advertisement Sponsorship-
As we are a new team both in the NCWSA/USA Water Ski and at Michigan Tech, we need to do extensive outreach and advertisement to recruit more members. However, due to the way we were granted funds through the Undergraduate Student Government at Michigan Tech we are unable to use those funds for advertising and building a social media base. Therefore, this sponsorship would help us hold events and buy products to help us get our name out there to students and community. The larger advertisement tools that we are looking include boat wrap, tall feather flag, sun shade canopy, sports logo backdrop, and table cloth which can all be used at community events, on campus events, at the starting dock/practice location, and competitions.
Emergency Fund-
Along with regular maintenance on the boat there is always unexpected issues that can occur throughout the season. As much as we cross our fingers and hope that nothing will happen, we will be putting lots of hours on our boat and equipment. A contribution to the Emergency fund would help in these unexpected times that we may need to repair or replace part of the boat or equipment.
Jump-
One of the main events in competitive 3-event skiing is Jump. As a new club it can be difficult to introduce this event as it is the most expensive event. The main goal of Jump is to land the furthest away from the top of the jump earning your team points. Being able to practice this events will require our members to travel 2+ hours our side of Houghton to train on jumps owned by community ski clubs. We still need to purchase the proper equipment for to participate and do it safely. Jump equipment is the most expensive and hard to come by equipment in the sport. With your help we could get our members off the dock in the proper equipment and ready to hit the sky. With this, our goal is to spread the sport of jump to the U.P. and have our own jump in the future.
