The crucial data for determining construction operations emissions includes:
fuel consumption rates,
production rates, and
materials quantities.
Data for construction operations emissions can be feasibly estimated without interrupting construction operations by reports from equipment operators, job site managers, and batch plant managers. In addition, certain production rates and materials quantities can be measured on-site.
The spreadsheet used for data collection and modified as a result of performing data collection is located on the left.
The life cycle information model (LCIM) that uses and supports estimation of the construction operation emissions is on the left in a zip file that can be downloaded. Once downloaded, do not extract the data contents of the zip file. Import the zip file to openLCA and download the FHWA repository.
The LCIM allows you to input construction data that you collect in the field or data reported from managers and operators in the field, including fuel consumption rates, production rates, and materials quantities.
The LCIM can be used with the openLCA software and the FHWA Data Repository.
