Summer Youth Program at Michigan Tech
Dr. Susanta Ghosh engages a series of sessions in the Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics Department during the Summer Youth Programs at Michigan Tech.
Students learn about Basics of Mechanics of Materials, Basic Concepts of Lightweight Meta-Materials, Computer-Aided Design, Advanced Manufacturing techniques like 3D printing, and mechanical experiments.
Students get hands-on experience with CAD software suites, 3D printers and perform mechanical experiments to test the designed meta-materials.

Math Team at Houghton Middle School
The Math Team meets weekly at Middle School. In the Math Team, students solve challenging math problems, in groups and individually. Middle school students from grades 6,7,8 are allowed to join. Math Team students participate in regional competitions. A selected number of students (about 4 to 6) from the Math Team also participate in state competitions.
