Jim Prosser

On January 31st, 2025, Mt. Silverwood RC lost one of its founding members, Jim Prosser. In the early 1990s, alongside his childhood friend Elmer Esch, they planted one acre of Elmer’s farmland with grass and invited friends to share their passion for radio-controlled aircraft. By 1999, they officially established the club as it is known today. Over the years, Jim assisted many members in learning to fly and was a cherished friend to both past and present members. To honor his legacy, we will rename the club field to “Elmer’s and Jim’s Field.” We all like to think he and Elmer are reunited and flying together again. Farewell and godspeed, dear friend.
