I was born and grew up a most of my life in Chicago, Illinois. When I was in middle school my family and I moved to West Windsor, NJ. I went through and graduated for West Windsor Plainsboro High School. After high school I went on to study theatre arts and photography at Rutgers University. After Rutgers I moved to NYC and worked in advertising for L'Oreal and Nestle. After about 5 years I decided to follow my life long dream and become a teacher. In 2001 I applied and won the NYC Teaching Fellowship. This fellowship paid for my Master in Education, and let me teach my favorite grades, 1st and 2nd.
Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, photography, and music. I spend most of my summers at my lake house in Wisconsin. Up at the lake my family and I love to swim and water ski. I love theatre and fine art, I am often found wandering NYC museums or as an audience member to a recent show.
I am truly excited about this year and have already planned many fun activities for us to do.
