Students work on subject area- independent writing, reading, math, etc. During this time students will work on incorporating ideas from the lesson, personal goals, building stamina and so on. Students will also work with literacy and math work places to build stamina and review skills taught during the mini-lesson.
Teacher confers with individual students or meets with small groups
