Yoga for Health & Learning

YOGA: Nurturing Health and Learning

A Short yoga break keeps learning motivation up by getting blood flowing and increasing both energy and ability to regroup and focus.

Yoga can be used daily, as a regularly scheduled activity, to prepare students for the day’s learning and to foster community in the classroom.

Yoga can be used prior to a challenging assessment or assignment to calm and focus the mind.

Yoga can be used as a work interruption to get blood flowing to the brain and reinvigorate attention, focus, and application of learning.

Yoga can be used, as needed, by an individual student in order to reduce feelings of sadness, anger, angst and stress.
