Hello There!

You are now a blue bird, just like Blazer. Welcome to third grade. I'm very excited to work with you this year. In third grade we learn how to write fractured fairy tales, our multiplication facts, about our great state of New Jersey, how climate impacts lives, and much, much more!
I am so excited to meet you and I am sure you are just as eager to meet me, but in the mean time, here are some things you should know about me. I received a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and Communication Studies from Rider University. I also had a focus in Special Education and Educational Technology. At Rider University, I also went to graduate school to obtain my Master of Arts in Special Education.
This is my second year teaching at VES, but I am no stranger to the school. I actually went to VES for kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grade! I had Mrs. Crammer for third grade (She's the classroom right next door!) I grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Montgomery High School.
Prior to teaching at VES I taught third grade in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District. In addition, I have taught 1st and 5th grade in West Windsor Plainsboro, 4th grade at Lawrence Intermediate School, and a multiage 2nd-3rd grade at Mercer County Special Services School. Furthermore, I have observed additional education (special education) in Dublin, Ireland and 6th grade in Graz, Austria.
One of my favorite hobbies is to travel. (Can you guess where I am in the photo on the right?). My favorite board game is Monopoly. The team I route for in major league baseball is the New York Mets! I love dolphins, owls, and Alaskan huskies!
Some of you look very familiar! In the past I have worked at Montgomery Camp Kid Connection as the five-year old inclusion classroom teacher for four summers. Furthermore, I am the former head coach of Montgomery Special Olympics Swim Team as well as the former head coach of The Montgomery Marlins Recreation Swim Team. I was an assistant swim coach for Cherry Valley Country Club and a swim lesson instructor/coordinator for many local swim programs. I cannot wait to work with many of you again.
I'm looking forward to a great year together!
