5th and 6th Grade Art
Students will engage in a variety of 2D and 3D art projects. They will experiment with a variety of media to include painting, drawing, and ceramics. Projects will explore the elements of art and principles of design as well as relate to their personal interests. Parents can check the parent portal of genesis for assignments and grades.
About me
When I was 4 years old, I sat on the floor in the living room, crouched over a coloring book and declared to no one in particular that I was going to be an art teacher. Since then, I have taught at various cultural and educational institutions in New York and New Jersey. I studied drawing and painting at Rutgers University and earned my Masters of Science in Special Education at Brooklyn College. I am licensed in Art and Special Education and I truly love what I do!
