PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Support) is a research-based framework for teaching and supporting positive behavior for ALL students. This school-wide approach focuses on building a positive and safe environment where all students can learn.
How Does It Work?
Students are rewarded for being respectful, responsible, and safe in all school environments. When they engage in one of the school-wide expectations, they earn a triangle ticket. Students can use tickets at our school store to "purchase" a reward.
School Pledge
With hand motions. Start at the bottom left side of the triangle, bring your pointer finger up to top of triangle saying Be Respectful, bring pointer finger down the right side of triangle saying Be Responsible, slide pointer finger across bottom of triangle saying
Be Safe, point to self with thumb saying I’m a leader at Chestnut Hill!
What are the rewards?
Every quarter we celebrate students’ success in following the school-wide expectations by participating in a whole school assembly.
Students can also use tickets at our school store to “purchase" a reward. The school store will be opened twice quarterly on specific days. Some of the rewards include: posters, candy, stuffed animals, guinea pig time, and other fun items.
