Homecoming - What should you wear to school on Monday? Pajamas of course! Start Homecoming week off strong by wearing your pjs to school on Monday, October 6th for a campout under the stars. Tickets for the dance go on sale on Monday morning on GoFan. Happy Homecoming, Highlanders!
Powder Puff - All Juniors and Seniors participating in Powder Puff, the first practice is tomorrow, Saturday October 4th from 11:00am-12:30pm. Seniors should report to the turf field and Juniors should report to the practice field.
HHS Dance Team - The Homestead Dance Team will be holding Season 2 tryouts on Tuesday, October 14 at 4:30 PM at Wilson Elementary School. If interested in joining or want more details, please reach out to the coaches to register. You can contact them through the dance team Instagram page or by their email listed on the school website.
Outstanding Detentions - This is a reminder that you are not able to attend Homecoming if you have any outstanding detentions. Detentions did carry over from last year, so be sure to serve any detentions you have before the dance!
College Visit - Attention juniors and seniors. College representatives continue to visit the Homestead counseling office. Next week, visitors include UW-Madison, UW-Whitewater, University of Chicago and Creighton University. Sign in to your Naviance account to review the full list and to sign up. Also, please receive permission from your teacher for that hour.
National Art Honor Society - Today is the last day the National Art Honor Society will be accepting applications for new members. In order to join the National Art Honor Society (NAHS), you have to complete an application and be accepted as a member. Once you complete the application, an NAHS advisor will notify you by the end of October to let you know if you are selected, and we will have an induction ceremony. There are some minimum requirements like: you need to be enrolled in art classes at Homestead, you need 3 art classes/ or be identified as TAG in art, and have a 3.0 GPA. PSAT - Attention Juniors who are scheduled to take the PSAT test on Tuesday, October 21st. In preparation, you are required to complete a 30 minute Digital Readiness Check in the Collaboration Zone on Tuesday, October 7th during 4th or 5th hour. Last names A-J will attend 4th hour and last names K-Z will attend 5th hour. Please bring your charged Chromebook. Please note that you will not be able to test unless this is complete.

YoungLife - Come to the YoungLife Breakfast Club info meeting on Friday, in Collab Zone East, for some snacks, games, and scripture!
