Boys Track and Field - Congratulations to the boys track and field team for winning the North Shore Conference Relays Meet! The boys won 9 relay events and scored 125 points, winning by 28 points. Outstanding job Highlanders!

Graduation Speeches - With AP tests running, the how-to speech writing session for graduation speakers is currently scheduled for pretty close to the audition date. Thus, for anyone who is free tomorrow after school, Mrs. Cicero is going to run an alternative meeting time option. All potential speakers should plan to attend either this Friday or next Friday right after school in 301.
National Art Honor Society - National Art Honor Society will meet after school on Monday, May 11th in room 611 to meet our officer nominees for next year AND start to hang Homestead's Gallery Night. Please fill out the absence request form in Canvas IF you are unable to attend.
Senior Commitment Post - Attention all seniors, if you have not yet submitted your college commitment for the school Instagram Page, please do so ASAP! If you do not wish to be on the Instagram page, please still submit your college commitment as soon as possible to the link in your email for this year's senior map. Letters of Love Initiative - Join the Letters of Love Initiative on Tuesday, May 12th, after school, to write letters for another veteran honor flight! There will be snacks provided, and we hope to see you there!
DECA - DECA is hosting a pickleball tournament on May 16th from 12-2. The tournament will be a ~2 hour doubles tournament right on the Homestead Tennis Courts with a $15 entry fee; the money will be used to support HHS DECA and for prizes for the top teams! Dance Team - Interested in being a part of the Homestead Varsity Dance Team? Now is your chance to try out! Tryouts are scheduled for Monday, May 19th and Tuesday, May 20th from 4:30–6:30 PM. To help prepare, the dance team coaches are hosting an optional (but highly recommended) Tryout Clinic on May 12th from 4:30–6:30 PM. Fun Before the 4th Volunteers - Family Fun Before the Fourth is looking for volunteers on Saturday, June 27th to carry sponsor banners in the parade. The parade is an hour long, beginning at Weyenberg Library in Mequon and winding through Thiensville to Thiensville Village Park. It is a great way to get exercise and so much fun. Get a friend to sign up so you can carry one together! You will receive 4 Merit Award hours AND $20 in food tickets, to use at the restaurants and food trucks in the park after, AND a t-shirt! It is an awesome day of entertainment, music, food, fireworks and fun!! Sign up today!!
Wilson Fun Fair - Volunteers Still Needed – Earn Merit Hours at Wilson Fun Fair on Saturday, May 9th!
We need your help! We are currently short several volunteers for an upcoming (and super fun) opportunity to earn merit hours for the 2026–2027 school year. Join us at the Wilson Fun Fair on Saturday, May 9th from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Wilson School. This is a fun, easy way to earn hours while helping younger students enjoy the magic of carnival day.
Even better - if you’re available, we encourage you to sign up for two shifts so you can earn up to 4 merit hours! Bring a friend and make it even more fun. We truly rely on student volunteers to make this event happen, and right now we still have several spots to fill. Your help will make a big difference for the elementary students attending.
