Both the size of our school and its culture help create a high school community where students feel connected, genuinely cared for, and safe to express and grow in their faith. That is the beauty of a smaller high school - every student is seen, known and loved.
One parent recently described the high school community as feeling like a family. The close-knit community creates an atmosphere of connectiveness.
There are many extras that we are able to do as a high school that build into a feeling of community. Thanksgiving lunch, new years pancake breakfast, trips to Tims, movies, games and so much more.
When a student described MSCS as “a place you feel safe at,” they were speaking to more than just physical safety. They were expressing the sense of emotional security, acceptance, and belonging that defines our school community. It’s a place where students can be themselves, take risks in their learning, and know that teachers and peers will support them every step of the way.
When a student said the high school at MSCS is “relaxed but structured,” they captured the balance between fun and focus. It’s a place where students enjoy a laid-back, supportive atmosphere while still having clear expectations that help them learn and grow.
