Free summer workshop
This event has passed - it took place on July 23, 2025 9:30-3:30 at Mohawk Trail Regional School in Shelburne Falls.
On July 23, 2025, we hosted 16 teachers and librarians from across Massachusetts to learn more about our local history and ways to use primary sources in the classroom.
We all worked together, along with Jasmine Goodspeed from Ohketeau Cultural Center, to explore the assets of our region and identify connections to interdisciplinary, K-12 course curricula.
Several teachers went on to complete projects. to use with their own students by identifying a curricular connection, exploring local and Library of Congress resources, before planning lessons/units/activities. These partipants received a $300 stipend and up to $300 for classroom materials to carry out their work!
*Finished projects must be completed by August 20, 2025.
