The challenges in teaching and learning in these practice-based professions is being impacted with technology such as Artificial Intelligence and demands for simulation or other innovations. Mount Royal University Faculty of Health, Community and Education (HCE) will be hosting an in-person conference May 22, 2025 in Calgary Alberta. This will be followed by a virtual conference for two days (May 26 to Jun 9, 2025). The focus of this conference will be to bring educators and/or students together to reflect on these innovations and challenges within their practice-based teaching and share their ideas to move forward. The target audience is educators in post-secondary institutions or clinical/practicum settings who work with practice-based professions.
Abstracts are invited for peer review to present 30-minute sessions in person, a 45 minute panel presentation or a poster. If accepted, presenters will be asked if willing to submit a pre-recorded version of their presentation for a virtual session to be held in the weeks following the onsite conference.
