Student Research Assistant
Current: Bachelor of Health & Physical Education, Athletic Therapy
Current Projects: Rafaelle (Rafi) is a research assistant in Dr. Ori's lab, working on the FLICC misinformation studies.
Research Interests: Rafi's research interests include psychological factors that influence athletes and the ways in which athletic therapists can support athlete mental wellness. Rafi has a particular interest in disordered eating among athletes.
Personal Interests: When her head is not burried in her laptop, she likes to scurry up on climbing walls, play guitar, and crochet projects.
Awards: Dr. George W. Kerby Scholarship Award (2024/2025), Jason Lang Scholarship Award (2022-2025), Alexander Rutherford Scholarship Award (2021/2022).
BHPE Honours Student
Current: Bachelor of Health & Physical Education, Physical Literacy
Current Projects: Allee is currently an honours student in Dr. Ori's lab, co-supervised by Dr. Marty Clark. Her honours research project will explore social media platforms to investigate representations of older adults commonly presented online. She is interested in potential misrepresentation (stereotyping) of physical activity among older adults in relation to health, autonomy, and physical capability.
Research Interests: Allee's interests are focused on addressing cognitive decline in older adults, promoting health with aging, and multidimensional long-term care interventions that improve health in older age groups.
Personal Interests: Allee plays hockey for the MRU Women's Hockey Team, and grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan. She plans to attend a Physician Assistant program upon graduating from MRU.

Current: Bachelor of Health & Physical Education, Physical Literacy
Current Projects: Alaina is an honours student under Dr. Ori's supervision where her research will explore how community recreation facilities promote phyiscal activity and its impact on the perceived benefits of being physically active. Alaina is also working on the Improving Physical Activity for Underserved Populations project, in Dr. Ori's lab through the Alberta Innovates Summer Research Studentship.
Research Interests: Alaina's research interests are in public and population health research, exploring community engagement through physical activity to support the well-being of individual and population health.
Personal Interests: Outside of research, Alaina enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and long-distance running. After graduating from MRU, Alaina plans to continue working within her community and pursue further education.
