I'm Cyndi, your Assistant Registrar, Awards and I've been at MRU in various capacities since 2007. I'm responsible for the fair and equitable distribution of all awards at MRU including the development and implementation of the award application and the feasibility of awards' terms of reference. Accessibility to education is a priority for Mount Royal University and awards are increasingly playing a bigger role in making this possible for students like you. I'm here to bust myths associated with award selections - it's not all about grades!

Over the course of Michelle’s 24-year career as an educator she has worked with students in numerous capacities. She is motivated and inspired by collaboration and is a strong believer in inclusive education and Universal Design for Learning. Michelle values equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and believes that an educator’s ability to create safe and caring spaces where students feel seen, heard, and respected enhances learning opportunities. She believes that students have the greatest opportunity to thrive and be successful when stakeholders build relationships and work together to remove barriers.
