Films will be presented during Film Night for all attendees to see. Films can be made on Outdoor Ed trips or on your own personal adventures, but must relate to our theme and the outdoors. Students are encouraged to submit more than one Summit Film. However NOT ALL FILMS SUBMITTED WILL BE GUARANTEED TO BE SHOWN. There are two categories for films and all films must meet the criteria to be considered. Summit Films will be eligible to win the Film Summit Award, chosen by the attendees, shorts will not be eligible for an award. While anyone can submit a Summit Film, Grades 10-12 are limited to one short film. Guidelines can be found below.

Photos will be displayed during Film Night for all the attendees to see. Photos can be taken during Outdoor Ed or on your own personal adventures. However, NOT ALL PHOTOS SUBMITTED WILL BE GUARANTEED TO BE DISPLAYED. All photos must be submitted with an approximately 200 word land acknowledgment and description within the appropriate category to be considered. There are four categories of photos with a description of each category below. Anyone of any grade can submit a photo and there will be a Summit Award for the winner of each of the four categorys.

This category is to showcase the natural beauty of nature and the variety of different landscapes we have and are able to experience.
This category is to showcase the natural beauty of the small things in life. This can be flowers, leaves, plants, and animals.
This category is to showcase the great activities associated with the outdoors. This can be ice climbing, skiing, hiking, and beyond.
Ideally, film and photos on outdoor ed trips are captured using a camera (film or digital). If you would like to use your phone to capture content on trips, please talk to Mr. Lindsay for permission and guidelines.
