In the context of our changing climate, rapidly advancing technology and artificial intelligence applications, increasing social polarization, and geopolitical uncertainty, education must disrupt the colonial metanarratives of scarcity, standardization, fragmentation, and control that are roots of these problems and that underpin much of schooling. Dwayne Donald offers: “if we wish to take seriously the task of addressing the most troubling issues we face today, we must be willing to consider insights from knowledge systems that express alternative ways of being in the world” (2021, p. 60). I am seeking to (re)story education by drawing on Indigenous ways of being to enact ways of teaching and leading that embody relationality, reciprocity, wellbeing, and sustainability. In my scholarship, I invite teacher candidates, teacher educators, teachers, and educational leaders to partner with me to share stories of what we are learning. I have outlined my scholarly contributions below organized by publication type and listed chronicologicaly.
