Passive endings

You will notice I've added extra letters (-a, -ia, -hia) to some of the verbs. This is used when speaking in a passive voice. 

For example: 'Whakapipi' (stack) becomes 'Whakapipia' when giving a command. So, 'Whakapipia ngā poro rākau' means 'Stack the blocks'. The blocks are being stacked by you, not the blocks are stacking themselves. I hope that makes sense!
