Leave enough time for each projects
Leaving this course with a stronger sense of self-efficacy!
Doing things ahead of time never hurts; it benefits you in the long run. Doing things ahead of time will help you build resilience and understand yourself more rather than rushing things.
To not be overly concerned with what you know in the beginning but rather focus on learning and making small improvements over time.
It's important to have good mental stability from learning the abilities, such as resillience, mindset, feedback and so on. I am so lucky I attend this class and learn so many different aspects of facing challenges and how to step out the comfort zone.
I learned about embracing challenges and asking for help if needed. I also learned about how collaboration can bring more ideas to the project.
I know I am adaptable and have learned how important it is to be able to adapt. This course has taught me how important adaptability is, you need it for almost every situation. I would not have accomplished as much as I have in this course if I didn't adapt to each new thing I have encountered. I am thankful for everything I have experienced with my classmates and what I have learned.
I am good at working with my hands and I really enjoy creating things. Sometimes making something requires a lot of brain power -or cognitive flexibility. However I have found that it also feels like an outlet to put my creativity and ideas that I don't typically get to use in my busy life.
I will remember how to pause when I face a challenge and take a moment to reflect on how I'm feeling and why I'm feeling that way instead of rushing straight into trying to solve the problem and potentially going about it in a way that is less effective than what I could do if I had thought about it beforehand.
IDesign is such a fun class that I have my technical skills improved!; I am so delighted that it was the first time I made a woonden robot :)
I will leave this course with a growth mindset. I would be able to look back at my past self and see the difference each of the days ahead. I would build my self efficacy everyday and notice and identify my current emotions and be able to work through obstacles with resilience. I would be able to work with wood, laser cutters and circuits. I would be able to ask for help whenever I need it and I would be able to recognize and have a sense of belonging no matter where I find my self and even if I don’t feel like I belong somewhere, I would not make that limit me.
Read the course descriptions more carefully before jumping into signing up for a class and don't bite off more than you can chew.
The biggest thing I would say is the fact growth is a multifaceted process and it takes shape in different forms from resiliency to self-efficacy. Development takes shape in different forms and that we might have to work on different aspects of ourselves to grow in our careers and lives as students. This course also showed me that we are able to learn a lot in such a short amount of time. Can't believe we are on the final week of class!
