Timeline and Milestones a curriculum generator website (Simple Mode):

  • Week 3: Analyze the three-user cases table and come up with how a final product should look like. Figure out the requirement tags for the website. Study MongoDB basic for better understanding of how to classify the tags.
  • Week 4: Create a storyboard and figure out how the database should look like. (What needs to be stored for each category?). Create a simple database with just a few resources (Try two entries per category). Take a look into creating a website using Google Script.
  • Week 5: Build a website for inputs and result pages. Enable MongoDB to Interact with Google Script website. Test and debug.
  • Week 6: Create a database for all the resources available on the MaGE program. Finish testing for input and output for the CS-related resources.
  • Week 7: Finish the basic prototype and conduct usability tests. Make changes on the feedback.
  • Week 8: Build features of other subjects such as language.
  • Week 9: Add additional features.
  • Week 10: Finish & wrap up work
  • Week 11: Polish documents.
  • Week 12: Presentation

Timeline and Milestones for an App (Simple Mode):

    • Week 1: Research the current edTech market and create a table for several successful apps for English learners and list their strengths and shortcomings
    • Week 2: Analyse the table and figure out what subjects can be most helpful for English learners to learn with the help of technology. Design a curriculum that can implement different kinds of technology (ex. graphics, audio, feedbacks, VR) that can be used to overcome the shortcomings
    • Week 3: Figure out the logistics of the app. Study required API and libraries.
    • Week 4: Create a basic prototype that includes layout design and workflow
    • Week 5: Build and debug
    • Week 6: Build and debug
    • Week 7: Finish the basic prototype and conduct usability tests. Make changes based on the feedback.
    • Week 8: Build and debug
    • Week 9: Build and debug
    • Week 10: Finish & Wrap up the project
    • Week 11: Work on pitch documentation
    • Week 12: Presentation
