CTE Departments 

The Mount Ayr Community School CTE Department includes the Agricultural, Industrial Arts, Business, and Family and Consumer Sciences programs.

In the fall of 2024, we had a dream of creating a school-based business that would allow students to gain hands-on, work-based learning experience through the classes we already teach. Our goal was to take learning one step further by helping students understand how a business operates and develop real-world production skills.

We are currently in the process of implementing and expanding our program, known as Raider CTE Works. As we continue to grow, we’re learning the advanced aspects of running a business and discovering how to make this vision a success.

Our current equipment includes a BOSS Laser Engraver, Glowforge Engraver, and a Harvest Right Freeze Dryer.
