There are many requirements and other essential information that the student must complete and heed to in order to be able to take dual credit courses.
The student must provide their transcripts to the local college prior to enrolling.
Students must complete and return by the deadline all the forms necessary for enrollment. These forms may be picked up in the high school office and sent to students via email.
Starting for the 2022-2023 school year, students must include these grades in their cumulative GPA.
First-time SWCC students must attend in-person or online orientation.
Career and technical education programs are available to Mount Ayr High School students through Southwestern Community College. Some of the programs available are automotive repair, carpentry, welding, and computer information systems. Students are responsible for their own transportation for these programs. Since these programs can require up to five class periods of the school day, they are realistically only accessible to Juniors or Seniors.
