Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs
Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs
SAE's are designed to allow FFA members to learn new skills and put them into practice. FFA members can create their own business, conduct a scientific research project, grow crops or raise livestock, secure a meaningful job that provides experience for a future career choice, or make a difference in their community through civic engagement.
An SAE is a year-round program made up of projects or enterprises where FFA members apply agricultural skills and knowledge learned in the classroom. SAE programs can include any of the four types or even a combination of several types.
Types of SAEs
Entrepreneurship
Placement
Agriscience Research and Experimentation
Exploratory
Included as part of each type of SAE Program are:
A. Improvement Projects
B. Supplemental Skills Development
There are several award opportunities, including scholarship dollars, that FFA members are eligible to receive.
