Big Buddies/Little Buddies (alternating Tuesdays)
This will not only be fun, but another chance to read, share, learn, practice tech skills, write, teach and be a part of a larger school community. Big Buddies: Mrs. Boze (4th Grade). Our Little Buddies are Mrs. Narag (Kindergarten).
Book Orders- Scholastic Books
I will be doing Online ONLY orders once a month- every 2nd Friday each month. <link here?>Classroom Papers Sent Home - Papers to turn into teacher
Class papers will come home once a week on Friday in the plastic velcro folder. Please empty and return the envelop ASAP so that it will be ready to use the following week. This is the best place to return papers that the teacher needs to see if possible.
First Grade Supply List - < . >
Library Day is Tuesday
First Graders can browse and checkout one book each week if they return their book before Library time Thursday.
Reading Bags/Homework Folder
This bag is expected to stay in your student's backpack and be brought back and forth each day. The folder will be used in daily independent reading, during group time each week and on Tuesday Big/Little Buddy days. Each student is provided a reading bag. The reading bag is also considered their homework folder. Students will select leveled reading books on Friday for the following week of practice. There will be one Guided Reading Group Book (small group leveled instruction) as well as any additional group word work or phonics work. The weekly spelling list will also stay in this folder.
Scholastic News Subscription- (online and paper copy)
As part of our First Grade Supply List- Each student subscription will be $5.75/year. Please make checks out to Scholastic News and give them to the teacher ASAP. Thanks! Once a month paper magazines will come home.School Paper Envelopes -
All school/office papers will come home in the brown envelop every Thursday. Please sign and return them ASAP so that we can use them again the next week. If lost, papers will be stapled together.
