What is a Personal Pathway/PPR course?
Personal Pathway Requirement (PPR) courses are career-focused electives that align with a student's post-high school goals based on interest and High School and Beyond Plan. PPR classes can substitute for 1.0 credit of Art, 2.0 credits of World Language, or simply as electives.
I can't find my class on this form.
In cases where the name of one of your classes does not match with a class listed on this form, take a look at the District Course Code on your transcript or Academic History report. These course codes will tell you what subject the class falls under. You may need to look up a class or use your judgement in some areas. If you are not sure, contact your counselor.
I earned more credits than I can put in on the form. What should I do?
This form only counts up to 24 total credits, which is the minimum you need to graduate. At minimum, you need to complete only the credits that are on this form. Anything more than that is considered extra credit and is not considered necessary to graduate. Only mandatory credits are listed on this form.
I emailed the report to myself but I can't see what classes I still need to take.
This is an unfortunate limitation of the form software used to build the planner. For complete graduation requirement information, please consult the Graduation Requirements page.
I am a Running Start student. How do I document my classes?
Your Running Start classes should be on your transcript with appropriate high school credits posted. Since most college classes are worth 1.0 high school credits, you will need to check at least 2 boxes for each class you completed. For example, if you took English Composition at EvCC as a junior, you can check off English 11 A&B for the full credit. If you are unsure, you may need to consult the course catalog for your college and the credit equivalency chart for the district in order to determine what subject area your course falls under. If you are unsure, contact your counselor.
I only took one year of a World Language before I switched to another language/stopped taking World Language classes. What should I select for that credit option?
The college requirement for this credit is 2 years of the same language. If you took one year of Japanese but then switched to Spanish the next year, you should select the PPR option until you have an opportunity to complete another year of either language. If you have not earned 2.0 total credits in one specific language, select the PPR option. This will hopefully avoid any confusion when you revisit your document.
