Unsure of how many credits you still need to graduate? How many credits do you need to earn every year in order to stay on track? This calculator will tell you the minimum number of credits you need per year to be on-track to graduation, and how many credits you still have to take. Remember, you need 24 credits to graduate.
How to use the calculator?
The intent of this calculator is to inform students of how many credits they need to take every year in order to be on track to graduate. Input the number of credits you earned each year to calculate the minimum number of credits you need to complete in next year (minimum credits required) to get back on track, and how many credits you may need to make up (credits behind). Based on your input values, the calculator will automatically update the numbers to show you how many credits you still need to complete in order to reach 24 credits by graduation.
For example, if you earned 2 credits during your 9th grade year, then you are behind by 4 credits. That means your 10th grade year, the minimum amount of credit you need to earn is 7.33 in order to get back on track. If you only earn 4.5 credits in 10th grade, then you are still behind by 2.83 credits. Your 11th grade year you need to earn at least 8.75 credits to be back on track.
Please note that this calculator only works on numbers and does not account for the types of credits you need. It is intended to give you an estimate of how many credits you need to work towards in order to reach 24. Your counselor will be able to tell you what credits you are missing and can help you plan ahead to make up the credits you are missing.
