SDG 7: Affordable & Clean Energy
MSUN supports the transition toward renewable energy by promoting research and practices that enhance energy efficiency on campus and in surrounding communities. The university explores sustainable energy sources such as solar, biogas, and biomass for laboratory and facility operations. Moreover, MSUN’s academic programs encourage innovation in environmental technologies, providing students and communities with the technical knowledge to adopt affordable, eco-friendly energy systems that reduce carbon footprints and operational costs.
Mindanao State University at Naawan continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainability by investing in solar energy technologies that support both research and community-oriented initiatives. As part of its transition toward renewable energy, the university has begun integrating solar-powered systems across key operational areas, particularly in aquaculture, campus infrastructure, and agricultural facilities.
